Formats

Five ways to package it.

Eyeshadow, eyeliner, and eyeshadow stick all draw on the same pigment raw materials — the format decision is mainly about applicator and packaging, not the color technology underneath.

Pressed Single Pan

One shade, one pan. Fastest to launch, lowest packaging complexity — good starting point for a first SKU.

Pressed Palette

Multiple pans in one compact. Mix finishes and shades — matte, shimmer, and duo-chrome in a single palette.

Loose Powder

Unpressed pigment in a jar or sifter. Best format for the most intense, saturated color payoff.

Eyeshadow Stick

Cream-to-powder twist-up stick — swipe and blend with fingertips, no brush required. One of the fastest-growing formats in eye color for 2026.

Liquid Eyeliner

Felt-tip or brush-tip liquid formula. Available in matte black, and in duo-chrome/color-shift finishes using the same effect pigments as our eyeshadow line.

Market Context

Why eyeshadow, why now.

48.8% Powder Format Share

Powder is the leading eyeshadow format by market share in 2026 — portable, versatile, and the format this page's three manufacturing options (pressed pan, palette, loose) are built around.

69% Personal Use Share

Eye makeup has shifted from occasional to daily — a majority of eyeshadow purchases are for personal, everyday use rather than professional/editorial application.

38.0% North America Share

North America leads the global eyeshadow market — consistent with our FDA-registered, Made-in-USA manufacturing positioning.

$9.86B Eyeliner Market 2026

Eyeliner is a large, fast-growing adjacent category — projected to reach $17.46B by 2034 at a 7.40% CAGR, with liquid formulas holding the largest format share.

Finishes

Six finishes, built on our own pigment raw materials.

Every finish below traces back to a real raw material we manufacture and sell separately — see the Effect Pigment Powders page for full technical specs and the LFL Particle Grade Standard for particle-size selection.

Magnetic Cat-Eye

Directional shimmer, built into the pan during pressing (magnet under the mold, not swept on after — different mechanism than nail polish).

Grade 3–5 recommended · foiled or pressed

Duo-Chrome / Color-Shift

Full-spectrum angle-dependent color shift from Aurora Chameleon pigment — interference-coated mica.

Grade O–9 available · widest grade range of any finish

FAQ

Common questions.

What eyeshadow formats can you manufacture?

Pressed single pans, pressed multi-pan palettes, and loose-fill powder. All formats use the same effect pigment raw materials — the format decision mainly affects packaging and pressing tooling, not the pigment itself.

Can you make magnetic cat-eye eyeshadow?

Yes. Unlike nail polish, the magnetic effect in eyeshadow is built into the pan during pressing — a magnet is positioned under the mold while the pigment is pressed, creating a fixed directional pattern. This requires magnet fixturing in the pressing tooling, which we can advise on when you order.

What's the minimum order quantity?

100 units per SKU (shade/finish), consistent with our other product lines. You can launch with a single shade or a full multi-pan palette.

Where do the pigments come from?

The same raw material effect pigment powders sold on our Effect Pigment Powders page. You can also sample these raw materials directly if you're formulating in your own lab.

Can I test finishes before committing to a production order?

Yes — the Beauty Lab Box ($89/mo) includes eyeshadow among its rotating sample categories, letting you evaluate finishes before placing a 100-unit MOQ order.

Can you match a custom shade?

Yes, custom color matching is available across all finishes. Duo-chrome and structural color finishes have a narrower shade-matching process due to their angle-dependent optical properties — we'll advise on feasibility when you send a reference.

What packaging options are available for palettes and pans?

Standard single-pan compacts, multi-pan palette compacts (custom pan count and layout), and refillable magnetic palette systems. Packaging is quoted alongside the formulation — let us know your preferred format when you request a quote.

Can you manufacture duo-chrome or color-shift liquid eyeliner?

Yes. Liquid eyeliner is available in standard matte black as well as duo-chrome and color-shift finishes, using the same effect pigment powders as our eyeshadow line — felt-tip or brush-tip applicator.

What is a cream-to-powder eyeshadow stick?

A twist-up stick format that applies as a cream and sets to a powder-like finish, blendable with fingertips without a brush. It's one of the fastest-growing eye color formats for 2026 and uses the same pigment raw materials as our pressed and loose eyeshadow.
